Bike Practice

Carter started practicing BMX riding about a month ago. He loves it and now Camden wants to start! My brother came out to the track and made this video of Carter. Thanks Bryce!

Where does the time go?

Seriously! Time is flying by. It is already October! Getting back it to the swing of things since school has started has been hard. Life can get hectic with swimming lessons, piano lessons, playdates, homework, doctor appointments, cleaning the house, making breakfast, lunch and dinner, bike rides, picnics and visits to the park, volunteering, church callings and the list goes on... but here is something that makes me so happy and that is HELP!!! Yes, help, I need it so much and my kids are happy to do some of the bigger grown up jobs so I let them. It might not get done perfectly but..

There was a talk in the ensign a while ago about how a dad was having his son help with painting there front door and his son was getting big paint runs so he would hurry and fix it before it dried then he realized that it didn't matter in the big scheme of things it was that his son was helping him. So now when he walks in the door and sees the paint job that was done he always thinks of the time that he painted it with his son.

So even if my yard might not have straight lines in it and it might have a few (actually quite a few) missed spots, I am happy.

And after I cleaned the windows perfect and some of my kiddos thought they wanted to help, I am happy.

Summer Vacation

We went to California this year for our family vaction and it was so much fun, I want to go back already.

Here are the kids watching the Parade.

Playing with sparklers waiting for the fireworks show to start.

They all got buried by my dad at the beach.

Carter boogie boarding. His favorite thing to do.

Now its Papa's turn.

We went to the San Diego temple and found it covered in scaffolding.

After the temple we went to Bob's Big Boy. Our new family tradition started by my mom and she passed it on to my kids, especially Camden.

We got some pictures of the kids. Thanks to my awesome sister-in-law.

They all did really well except for a few breaks.:)

Summer is here!

Addisyn at her Fancy Nancy Birthday!

Carter starting the race. After the race

Camden hanging out waiting for the races to start.

The kids got a hampster named Rocky, thanks to Carter getting 100% on his AR tests every week since February.(If I only knew that a hampster would motivate him that much we would have started a lot earlier:)

Bedtime, my favorite time during the summer! I don't know what it is about summer but they are so exhausted at the end of the day that they always fall right to sleep.

Fathers & Sons

Fathers and Sons was this weekend. They had a blast camping and hiking and were wiped out by the time they got home.

Temple Openhouse

We went with my family to the Gila Valley Temple Openhouse. The kids favorite part about the temple were the lights, they are absolutely beautiful.

Here is my cardigan twin (it helps when she is the one that gave it to me:).

Carter found a ladybug in the grass before we got in the car.

Here is Camden trying to entertain us as we drove home

Addisyn had to wear my sunglass because the sun is too bright!

Muffins and Makeovers

Camden's preschool class had a special day for moms to come and have muffins and makeovers. In his class there are 10 boys and 4 girls. The boys were much more interested in the muffins and juice and took forever to get started on the makeovers. The girls on the other hand did not even get the muffins, they started right a way with their moms makeovers. So once Camden had all the muffins and juice he wanted he got started on my makeover. I brought stuff that was really safe like blush, chapstick, lotion, a brush and hair tie. He tried but it took him about 1 minute total to finish. When he was done he put everything back in my purse and handed it to me, I asked if he was ready to go and he sure was. This is the best picture we got, which was taken by Addisyn so it's a little blurry but what can I expect.

Beautiful day for a hike

We decide that since we have nice weather again we should take advantage of it and go for a hike. Here are some of the flowers we saw. I think that if we had gone about a month ago the ground would be covered in flowers. These picture are about all we saw on our 1 hour hike(that was with kids so maybe we didn't go very far but still).

To finish off our trip we thought it would be fun to get Mcdonalds for lunch and have a picnic but the kids could not pass up the play area so we stayed and had ice cream. Yummo:)

Carter is trying to avoid the camera but we got him!

Dinner for two

I got a call this week from my brother Brandon. His 1st anniversary was this week so he asked my sister and I to set up dinner for him to surprise Aimee with in their future home. Happy Anniversary you two!!!

First grade Program

I can't believe school is almost over. Carter had his musical program this week. It was called Tombs and Temples. The kids learned about Egypt this year and sang songs all about it, it was really cute.

All Smiles

Mabry is my biggest smiler yet. From two days old she was smiling. We actually caught a smile when we were taking her baby announcement pictures at two weeks old. She smiles so much that when she is drinking her bottle she stops to smile at me. :)

Weekend at the Cabin

The kids and I got rainboots so we could play in the stream by the cabin. It was so fun walking up and down the stream and a much better workout than I could have imagined. When they weren't playing in the creek they were riding quads. What could be funner than that!
