Where does the time go?

Seriously! Time is flying by. It is already October! Getting back it to the swing of things since school has started has been hard. Life can get hectic with swimming lessons, piano lessons, playdates, homework, doctor appointments, cleaning the house, making breakfast, lunch and dinner, bike rides, picnics and visits to the park, volunteering, church callings and the list goes on... but here is something that makes me so happy and that is HELP!!! Yes, help, I need it so much and my kids are happy to do some of the bigger grown up jobs so I let them. It might not get done perfectly but..

There was a talk in the ensign a while ago about how a dad was having his son help with painting there front door and his son was getting big paint runs so he would hurry and fix it before it dried then he realized that it didn't matter in the big scheme of things it was that his son was helping him. So now when he walks in the door and sees the paint job that was done he always thinks of the time that he painted it with his son.

So even if my yard might not have straight lines in it and it might have a few (actually quite a few) missed spots, I am happy.

And after I cleaned the windows perfect and some of my kiddos thought they wanted to help, I am happy.

I love to see this ! having the kids learn how to work and having fun doing it !!! I am happy to see you learned faster than I did that it does not matter if its done perfect just doing it together is what is important!! And by the way Carter earned a BIG treat your back yard is HUGE!!! And the lines look pretty good to me! Lots of love, Mom
